NeuroCenter@ ICU/OR system
The NeuroCenter® EEG monitor is developed specifically for long-term EEG-monitoring at the ICU or OR. The NeuroCenter EEG system was designed specifically for electroencephalography monitoring in the neuro intensive care unit. The system includes an EEG amplifier for continuous monitoring of raw and processed EEG data and a state of the art analysis program developed together with Prof. Michel van Putten of the Medical Spectrum Twente hospital and the Technical University in Enschede. An optional camera captures video, which is time-synchronized for artifact identification or other uses.
The NeuroCenter EEG system allow clinicians, intensivits and technical personal to view EEG values quickly to assess changes in the patient’s neurological state. The beauty of the system is that it can automatically present the most interesting data that has been monitered over the full length of the recorded data and perform the analysis on those data blocks. This will eliminate the lengty and time consuming taks of sifting through days of EEG data and will safe the neurology department tons of time.
A quick assesment by the Intensivist
NeuroCenter EEG does not have a steep learning curve for people without a neurology background. Infact its very user friendly and easy to learn. Clinical Science Systems is proud to mention that we have developed a tool kit using a special multi window approach, in which information is presented in a easy to read overview that is determined by the system itself. Through special alghortimes the system will present the on call staff immediate acces to the mental state of the ICU/OR patient. A special colour coded window will allow intensivists to determin the mental well-being of the patient and if any other special care is needed or if a there is pressing need for the on call neurologist. The NeuroCenter EEG system will assist in quicker evaluation in the ICU and neurology departments, will allow realtime viewing over the hospital network and let the communication process between ICU and Neurology department be fast and clear.
A dedicated NeuroCenter EEG system in the ICU/OR department will significantly increase the assesment and knowledge of EEG monitoring as well as decrease time consuming tasks keeping neurologists and intensivist away for critical patient care.
